Welcome to EAA Chapter 66 located in sunny Southwest Florida. First established in 1962, Chapter 66 is among the oldest of the EAA chapters.
We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.
Our chapter is part of the worldwide network of EAA chapters. EAA embodies the spirit of aviation through the world’s most engaged community of aviation enthusiasts. EAA’s 170,000 plus members enjoy the fun and camaraderie of sharing their passion for flying, building and restoring recreational aircraft. To find out more about EAA and their programs and services, please visit their home page at EAA.org.

What’s Happening?
The 1st Sunday of every month is our ALL YOU CAN EAT breakfast with a $10 donation. It has a pretty good menu of scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, orange juice, & coffee.
This is also our monthly Young Eagles Rally. We fly on average 15 Young Eagles each month on their first airplane ride.
We also have Builders Night every Thursday from 7 to 9pm. There we are building a Thatcher TX 4 and repairing other aircraft. This night is also a Flight Training event where Chapter Members are using our Flight simulators to learn flying skills & working towards their FAA knowledge test.
Thursday also is a repair center for the Remote Aircraft that routinely fly on our Sunday Morning launch.
Every Friday, we have Friday Franks at lunchtime (approx 11am to 1pm). That’s where we cook hotdogs for whoever drops in while accepting donations. This is named after a recently deceased Chapter member, Frank Stankiewicz.
Every Sunday morning, our Remote Operators are flying their RV’s (weather permitting). Contact Jimmy Duran (see About -> Contact Info above)
The Monthly Meeting of EAA 66 is held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. We have a cookout dinner at 6:30, and the meeting starts at 7:30.
There’s an IFR Club and VFR Club meeting held at the beginning of the monthly meeting.
